About STC-ICIT 2026
To commemorate National Technology Day-2026, Vigyan Bharti Haryana in collaboration with Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Hisar (Haryana) is organizing a Science & Technology Conclave and an International Conference on Innovation & Technology for Viksit Bharat (STC-ICIT 2026) on 24-25 April, 2026 aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) Hisar, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (LUVAS) Hisar and ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines (ICAR-NRCE) Hisar are also associated institutions in this event. Science & Technology Conclave (STC) for School Students from Class 9th to 12th will consist of expert motivational lectures by top scientists of the country, interactions with scientists, exhibitions on technology etc. International Conference on Innovation & Technology (ICIT) under the theme Technology for Humanity: Inclusive Innovation for Viksit Bharat will consist of academic sessions on Science & Technology, Agricultural Science & Technology, Veterinary and Animal Science & Technology and, hackathon event. The event shall provide an excellent opportunity for school students, researchers, scientists and faculty members across the state. Expert motivational lectures by eminent scientists, exhibitions on technology and agriculture, hackathon events and thematic academic sessions will specially emphasise on integrating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into modern practices.
Vijnana Bharti
Also known as Vigyan Bharati (VIBHA) is a National Science Movement being led by eminent Indian
scientists with a Swadeshi Spirit interlinking traditional and modern sciences. VIBHA conducts its activities
as a vibrant movement for the development of Swadeshi Sciences through 37 independent state units
functioning across the country. VIBHA conducts various activities interlinking traditional and modern
sciences on the one hand, and natural and spiritual sciences on the other hand. To foster scientific curiosity
and honor Indian achievements, VIBHA conducts India International Science Festival (IISF), Bharatiya
Vigyan Sammelan (BVS) and Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) as its flagship annual events. VIBHA also
celebrates National Technology Day (May 11), Vijnana Bharati Foundation Day (October 21), National
Science Day (February 28), Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray Birth Anniversary (August 2), National Space
Day (August 23) and National Mathematics Day (December 22) at special events with emphasis on
adopting modern sciences to national needs, indigenous technologies for Atmanirbhar Bharat & Viksit
Bharat and as Amrut Mahotsav (highlighting the contributions of Indian scientists).

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUS&T)
GJUS&T, named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century is a
State University established on October 20, 1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana
to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with a focus on
new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and
management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields. Beautiful campus of
the University is spread over a sprawling area of about 372 acres. The campus is laid out with
picturesque landscape, numerous buildings of various designs and wide road network. It presents a
spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty. The University is A+ Grade accredited
University from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU)
Popularly known as HAU, is one of Asia's biggest agricultural universities. It is named after India's
seventh Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh. It is a leader in agricultural research in India and
contributed significantly to Green Revolution and White Revolution in India in the 1960s and 70s. It has
a very large campus and has several research centres throughout the state. The main campus of the
University is situated at Hisar. HAU is spread over an area of 7219 Acres at Hisar and 1426 Acres at
outstations. Area at Hisar under farms is 6483 Acres and under buildings and roads is 736 Acres. During
its existence so far it has made rapid progress in building an excellent infrastructure. It has one of the
best developed campuses in India to meet academic and extra-curricular needs of the students. It won
the Indian Council of Agricultural Research's Award for the Best Institute in 1997.

Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (LUVAS)
An independent University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Haryana has been named in the
cherished memory of Lala Lajpat Rai, a great patriot, the foremost freedom fighter, an ardent social
reformer and a versatile writer. Lala Lajpat Rai, popularly known as “Punjab Kesri”, did his early legal
practice at Hisar and also served as a Member and Secretary of the Hisar Municipality. The College of
Veterinary Sciences and the College of Animal Sciences, earlier the constituent colleges of CCS Haryana
Agricultural University, Hisar has now been incorporated in this newly established University. It is
backed by an enviable tract record of academic excellence, cutting edge research and rendering quality
services to the livestock of the state.

ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines (ICAR-NRCE)
National Research Centre on Equines is a premier institute established under the aegis of Indian Council
of Agricultural Research for conducting research on equine health and production. Major population of
equidae comprising donkeys, mules and ponies that provide livelihood to the rural societies living in
arid, semi-arid and hilly regions, specially in the foot hills of Himalayas, through transport and draught
where as remaining small population of equines is used in army, police, border security force, racing
industry and sports. National Research Centre on Equines (NRCE) was established during 7th five-year
plan under the aegis of ICAR for research on equine health and production considering the importance
of equine in India. A sub-campus at Bikaner, Rajasthan was created during 1989 for conducting
researches for improving the technologies for optimization of reproduction and work performance of the
equines. The Centre has the responsibility on generation of technologies for augmenting equine
performance in order to uplift the socio-economic status of poor equine owners.
